Whats in your city’s water?
Since 2004, testing by water utilities has found 315 pollutants in the tap water Americans drink, according to an Environmental Working Group (EWG) drinking water quality analysis of almost 20 million records obtained from state water officials.
More than half of the chemicals detected are not subject to health or safety regulations and can legally be present in any amount. The federal government does have health guidelines for others, but 49 of these contaminants have been found in one place or another at levels above those guidelines, polluting the tap water for 53.6 million Americans. The government has not set a single new drinking water standard since 2001.
Water utilities spend 19 times more on water treatment chemicals every year than the federal government invests in protecting lakes and rivers from pollution in the first place.
Based on these data, EWG believes the federal government has a responsibility to do a national assessment of drinking water quality. It should establish new safety standards, set priorities for pollution prevention projects, and tell consumers about the full range of pollutants in their water.
Because it has not, EWG launched a 3-year project to create the largest drinking water quality database in existence. This user-friendly, interactive resource covers 48,000 communities in 45 states and the District of Columbia.

I know one substance that is in my city water. It’s the hazardous waste material they place in it: fluorosilicic acid, called fluoride. In California, there was no vote; we just got the fluorosilicic acid dumped down our throats!
If there’s any drilling and fracking for natural gas going on near you, be careful of the toxic fracking chemicals. They can get into aquifers, wells, lakes, etc. Cheney took them out of the jurisdiction of the EPA, so who’s looking out for the People?

I live here in Victoria B.C. Canada and by all reports the water is considered quite good here.
However, I do not drink tap water because of the chlorine and other possible chemicals it contains even in very small amounts. The pH level of our city water is pH 6.2, which indicates it is acidic.
First I Distill my drinking water 1 gallon at a time (daily). I also add mineral drops, I then correct the pH level of the water with 1/2 level teaspoon of bicarbonate soda. This brings the water up to pH 7.4. Our Bodies normal pH level is pH 7.365. If this cannot be corrected by the food and water we eat and drink it will take it from our bone mass.
Our bodies are 70% water, so it is imperative that we help our body maintain the proper pH
level in order to enhance our immune system which in turn gives us good health. I further do my best to help this by eating a vegetarian diet and I only eat whole fruits and vegetables
To me my good health is the greatest possession I have. It is worth more than gold. I am 73

Carl, hello. I was happy to read your comments. You are aware that you needed to re-minerlize your distilled water and also add baking soda; smart. Be aware that distilled water offers a poor ability to hydrate the body.

IMO trusting government to deliver good drinking water to you is like trusting your average supermarket to deliver good food to you.

I also distill our drinking water. I’m amazed at the number of people out there who have no clue what they are drinking. Unfortunately, drinking water at schools often contains lead that comes from old pipes. People need to start paying attention and doctors need to start being educated correctly.
