Victims of TSA: A Child, a Pregnant Teacher, Miss USA
One wonders if filling out those little TSA complaint cards at the airport does a damn thing. Recent TSA assaults are more out of control than ever. To top off the criminal activity, at least one TSA worker has been busted for child pornography, after someone discovered his online postings of naked scanner photos. He had already exploited over a hundred little girls.
TSA has employed many, many people with plushy salaries; all of whom have never arrested a terrorist, to my knowledge. They have, however, successfully inflicted terror in the lives of countless peaceful citizens including the elderly, children, pregnant women, even a former Miss USA and actress.
At the risk of sounding like a 7th grade essay, let’s look at a couple of definitions from dictionary.com lest we deny or rationalize what’s actually happening here.

Pregnant Teacher Harassed By TSA On Easter Sunday Tells Her Story
The Transportation Security Agency has a long history of harassing innocent, peaceful Americas. From 6 year girls to the elderly, the TSA, an agency that has never arrested a terrorist, has taken the American police state to a whole new level.
When I received an email from Becky, a 25 year old pregnant first grade teacher, I was outraged but unfortunately unsurprised due to my knowledge that police states generally begin with the women and children as well as the fact that documented cases of TSA harassment of minors and women have become a near daily occurrence.
What she told me sounds all too familiar in country that bills itself as land of the free.
I went through the metal detector at the Knoxville Airport on 4-24-11 at approximately 5:20 pm. It buzzed, so the TSA agent pointed me to another agent, and she swabbed my hands. I then went to grab my purse, and she said “Don’t touch that and get back over here.” She would not let me have my things, and proceeded to search my purse and wallet without asking me. I was flustered, upset, and getting angry, as my husband and I were needing to board as our flight that left in 20 minutes from that time.
The lady then called for backup because they said they found “traces of explosives” on my hands. I asked if it was policy to search and profile young pregnant women who obviously did not come into contact with ANYTHING explosive or dangerous, and asked why they searched my wallet without asking me. They did not respond.
As is evident by this first hand account, a female TSA agent, apparently on a power trip, stated that a 25 year old pregnant first grade teacher had “traces of explosives,” on her hands. Whether or not this agent was very poorly trained or was outright lying in an attempt to silence this brave woman’s resistance is unknown at this time.
Then the backup agent, who I later was told was the supervisor on duty, Agent Olinger, said I had to come with her. She and the other lady forced me to leave my husband and almost miss my flight, pushing me on my back toward a room, to which I said “Don’t touch me!” because they were forcing me against my will and treating me very harshly. They did not ask me if I wanted to go in a private room – I did not want to be away from my husband and most of all did not want her to touch me.
According to this account, the TSA is no longer asking if citizens want to go to a private room, they are instead forcing them into these rooms without so much as asking.
I then asked if they were going to make me take my clothes off to which Olinger snapped, “Not unless you want to go to jail.” She was incredibly rude and would not explain why they were making me go into the room.
I was almost hysterical and crying and asking why they were doing this to me, and I said I did not want to be touched, that I was pregnant, that I didn’t want her hands on my body and especially on my belly. The Olinger woman barked out a bunch of stuff I could not understand, and without my consent felt up my entire body, breasts, butt, etc. I was NOT given the option to have AIT(body scanners) instead of her touching me. I also wanted to be out in public with my husband and other people, not in a private room.
The above statement speaks for itself. If we continue to let American citizens, especially women and children be subjected to this Nazi like behavior we will soon find our self in a full blown police state.
Then the other woman demanded my boarding pass, and when I asked why she just said “I need your boarding pass.” She then left and Olinger wrote down all my information on a form. I asked why and what she was doing and she said “My job” and would give me no explanation. I told her to watch out for other dangerous pregnant women, and left, sobbing, upset, and sick to my stomach. I became dizzy and sick for the rest of the evening.
These instances of TSA harassing pregnant women cannot be good for their unborn children.
When seated on the plane, a nice man came up to us and said he would like to be a witness for us as to the way I was treated and harrassed. He said he felt that it was profiling, rude and harsh to treat me that way. I felt violated and treated as a criminal and was given no apology or explanation when NOTHING was found on me. Now I feel I will have to suffer every time I fly because they put my name on some “dangerous passenger” list.
I also feel that my harassment was due to pregnancy, as if the bump under my shirt was something other than my unborn child. I am horrified and outraged by this experience and I hate the TSA. Time and again they harass young women, children, and others who certainly do not deserve to have their rights, or their bodies so violated.

Please stop with the “especially women and children” references. Men should not be subjected to “Nazi like behavior” – no more/no less than women and children. We all deserve to be treated with equal respect.
We, the American public need to question laws passed by our government that have direct impact on our privacy, not merely obey them as if we have no rights. Why do so many have such a nonchalant manner? There are hundreds of sites explaining the deadly effects on the body and its vital organs after absorbing TSA’S radiation. YOU ARE NOT CONSTRAINED TO WALK THROUGH IT. Choose not to. If you feel the officer “patting” you down is not conforming to the rules and makes you feel uncomfortable, get their name, write an explanatory complaint including the airport name and send it to Ms. Janet Napolitano, head of Home Security in Washington. If enough of us make our voices loud enough they must listen. We are a country protected by freedom.
Why are you blaming Obama? He has or had nothing to do with setting up the TSA….. It was allthe republican administration that did it.

The TSA was created as part of the Aviation and Transportation Security Act, sponsored by Don Young in the United States House of Representatives[2] and Ernest Hollings in the Senate,[3] passed by the 107th U.S. Congress, and signed into law by President George W. Bush on November 19, 2001. Originally part of the United States Department of Transportation, the TSA was moved to the Department of Homeland Security on March 25, 2003.
John S. Pistole is the fifth TSA Administrator, having replaced former head Kip Hawley.[4]
Seems to me that either, or both, of two options are at play:
In my opinion:
1. TSA is acting incompetently in that it is exerting little to no corrective oversight as to the behavior of its airport-employees — assuming that what we, the average non-terrorist American citizen, consider to be dignity-respecting behavior is the standard that TSA would also consider to be the “correct” standard that its airport-employees should follow;
2. TSA is intentionally empowering, authorizing, and commanding, its airport-employees to act in the bombastic, overbearing, dignity-shredding, and possibly passenger-records-distorting, ways that the above-noted videos and other passenger-testimonies suggest is the case.
If #1 above is the case, then WHO is at fault for permitting the TSA system to be so horribly run, WHY is that person not being brought up on charges of, perhaps, malfeasance of duty, incompetence, or worse, and WHERE are any Congressional — or even Judiciary or Justice Department — investigations into the matter, and WHY are there, as yet, apparently NO OFFICIAL, GOVERNMENT-ENFORCED, REQUIREMENTS that corrective measures must be applied IMMEDIATELY?
And WHERE is the OVERSIGHT?
If #2 above is the case, such that, in this hypotheses, the TSA WANTS the system to be operating in such a passenger-offending manner, what might be behind that intent? Could it be that it’s to (a) directly catch “terrorists”, or (b) to “scare away” any “terrorists” from even wanting to take a chance at coming to a commercial American airport to fly? Or is it, perhaps, (c) to continue to use (and to officially, intentionally, heighten the use of) FEAR as a way to condition and “mold” the American people into becoming increasingly pliant, submissive, pawns of an increasingly power-accretive plutocratic, centrally-controlled, totalitarian state?
Agreed that it makes sense to prevent “terrorists” from boarding planes — or from being able to do their dirty deeds ANYWHERE. Has TSA actually ever caught a “terrorist” or prevented a “terrorist” from even showing up at a commercial U.S. based airport? Who knows?
But even if TSA, perhaps, may have clandestinely succeeded in those regards, how reasonable is it to subject the average, law-abiding, non-terrorist, American citizen, to these unconstitutional and, reportedly, often horribly offensive airport-based “searches and seizures” — including not only those so-called “enhanced pat-downs” (also legally called “custody searches”, or which some persons might also label as “molestations”) but also forced-exposure to cancer-generating and generally heath-damaging x-ray and millimeter-wave scans?
And how reasonable is it that a passenger — or the American people at large — have NO mechanism (other than to perhaps “file a complaint” or write their Congressperson) to (a) put a stop to this travesty or (b) to even review and correct any false information, about themselves, that may have been put “into the system” — such as on the infamous “no-fly lists” — by bungling TSA employees?
Miss USA, Susie Castillo, in her video above, may not be off-the-mark at all, in her asking if, possibly, TSA-enforced RECTAL EXAMINATIONS of passengers might be next.
How far will the real (U.S.-destructive) “terrorists” go? How effective has TSA been, so far, at stopping “terrorists” from barding commercial airliners at U.S.-based airports? How far along the path of “terrorizing” passengers at U.S.-based commercial airports has TSA already gone, and how much farther might it go?
And if the purported goal of “stopping terrorists” becomes the overriding goal of the nation, what then will consequently happen to the nation’s other — and previously-supposed high-priority — goals, such as “democracy” and “freedom” and “civil liberties and civil rights”?
Looking at these situations from the UK it just seems to be another paranoiic reaction by the USA. Yet another form of McCarthism. I haven’t been to the States for many years and no longer wish to travel there because of the indignities and rudeness dished out by the immigration personel on the times that I used to travel. Having found out what TSA means in the USA it would more properly be translated as the Terrorist Support Agency because, by its currently reported actions and complaints, it is likely to be withdrawn soon to the benefit of any terrorists around.
Hi Graham – you are right men deserve the same defense and respect! It’s just in this case children, women, pregnant women, and elderly seem to be bigger targets. It used to you be, you never cause distress for the above, like the above mentioned types of people were held in high honor. Now, it seems nothing is sacred – the behavior has gone way too far.
Let me guess–the rude TSA woman was a black b****. If she was on a power trip she was. Low IQ people who’ve lived as entitled people on entitlements all their lives, and then get jobs where they feel perfectly free to push people around because they have brains enough to afford a flight ticket.

Whoever heads up the US Dept of Homeland Security is part of the President’s cabinet. When Bush was President, any action made by the Secretary was a reflection of Bush’s policy and Presidency, as it should be. And so it stands for President Obama. If Secretary Napolitano is solely responsible for the increasing complaints against the TSA due to her policy, then it is her boss’s job to tell her to address the problem….President Obama.
That’s of course if you believe that President Obama has no involvement in her dept, which is ludicrous. All President’s are involved with cabinet decisions….the President makes the final decisions….always.
Sorry RobertRoberts, we did not have the same level of violations/complaints against the TSA under Bush’s watch as we do on Obama’s watch. If these complants started under Bush’s watch, and continued to escalate to where they are today, then it is Presient Obama who can stop them.
That’s not going to help sending anything to Janet Napolitano because she is right in there with them enjoying this unrestrained power over the flying public. What people should be doing is bombarding their Congressmen until they can’t ignore it. Congress is responsible for this mess and apparently won’t do anything to change it.
When I wrote one of my representatives, she wrote me back talking like she was just as disturbed as I was and that she was going to ‘keep an eye on the situation’. That was months ago and I don’t see her doing diddly squat about it.
I also wrote my Senator about it and didn’t even get a reply from him!! So….what to do is not let up!!! If millions of people are faxing and bombarding their offices with emails, I don’t see how they can ignore it. But if only a few people bother to show outrage, then the status quo will continue.
On another note….the men of this country have a responsibility to protect and watch out for the women….that is a given, since according to the bible women are the ‘weaker vessel’…..and certainly pregnant women and the elderly.
Personally, I don’t understand how any man worth his salt could stand by and watch his wife or children being molested by strangers, who just happen to have permission from the government to do whatever they choose.
And don’t give me this thing about men are just as badly treated….that doesn’t compare to the vulnerability of women (pregnant or otherwise), children and the elderly!

On the other hand if we really want to hurt TSA we could collectively boycott flying…then they would have no one to “pat down” as a terrorist, when all they want to do is visit family, do their job, or go on vacation. With no fliers to harass or check for possible homeland security endangerment. Be warned, they also work at some bus terminals.

If enough of us refuse to fly, they would have to take notice and do something about these idiotic rules! I for one, am never flying again. It happened to me and it can happen to you too! No way am I going to have unnecessary radiation on me after fighting cancer, and I refuse to have another person ever touch me like that again without punching them square in the nose. I’m curious, can the TSA or its agents be sued or prosecuted for molestation, child abuse or the other acts that it is conveying on the public. DHS takes kids away from their parents and prosecutes them for far less than the TSA has done. How can we teach our kids not to let strangers touch them then allow it to happen right in front of us. Talk about messing up a bunch of kids. I think, if I can’t drive I won’t go. Not sure if boycotting air travel is the answer. If you look at the big picture, it comes down to control. Controlling our food, water, transportation. History repeating itself. Thing is this though, we can complain all we want, we can write our representatives and it all does no good. So what is the answer?

Actually, back in 2001 I was traveling alone with my 17 month old baby and we were searched. They even went so far as to pull back the elastic from my baby’s pants and diaper and look in there! So, this is not “new”. This has been going on ever since 9/11 and in this way, the terrorists have taken away our freedom to travel unhindered…

And everyone is asked if they prefer a private screening, you are not forced to do a private screening.
These procedures are part of written SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).
All this should haved been part of the verbal advisement prior to the PAT-DOWN. Pregnant of not, you still have to go through some form of screening.
