AIDS Victim Tells of Healing Virtues of Coconut Oil
At least one HIV victim will be grateful forever for the healing potency found in coconut oil. Tony speaks around the country about his former hopeless battle with HIV and his ravaged self image and how it all changed when he began ingesting coconut oil. Not an herb, supplement and certainly not an expensive drug: an oil people use for cooking and body care.
Despite conventional and expensive drug measures, doctors normally expect their HIV/AIDS to progressively become worse. Imagine the doctors’ astonishment when Tony’s subsequent blood tests kept coming back with diminished viral traces until finally reaching normal. All because of six tablespoons of coconut oil per day along with three skin applications.
Read his powerful testimony below – it’s hard not to choke up when reading such a miraculous triumph among so many sad tales of HIV/AIDS victims. There are some other healing items that help reduce HIV/AIDS to barely detectable levels or banish completely. Coconut oil is a rising star in the world of super healing foods. Thankfully such products and books guiding the cures are available in health stores everywhere at low, low costs.

In coming out of the closet to tell his story, Tony, 38, lends hope to thousands of AIDS sufferers worldwide. “You don’t know how hard it is for one to have an illness that others find repulsive…I had wanted to shut myself inside my room and just wait for my time to die,” Tony told symposium participants.
Tony was a guest speaker at a symposium titled “Why Coconut Cures”, held in Manila, Philippines, May 14, 2005. The symposium was headed by Dr. Bruce Fife, who was also the keynote speaker. Other participants included cardiologist Conrado Dayrit, dermatologist Vermen Verallo-Rowell, biochemist Fabian Dayrit, and Senator Jamby Madrigal.
Tony’s testimony, along with those of others who had experienced dramatic recoveries from various ailments, provided first-hand accounts of the use of coconut oil in healing chronic health problems described by symposium participants.
Beneath the sunglasses that he wore, his eyes were moist, not in self-pity but in triumph. A cap and long sleeves hid a body scarred by a disease Tony contracted while working in the Middle East in the 1990s. Coming home in 2002, Tony was devastated to learn that he was infected by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). As the disease progressed, the pain he endured came not only from the infections ravaging his body but from the shame the disease had brought him. He felt like giving up.
Drugs, which he could barely afford, could not deliver him from the dreaded virus and the other infections that were slowly draining away his life. His body was covered with fungal infections and oozing sores accompanied by a chronic pneumonia infection that caused a persistent cough. He knew he was losing the battle as each day symptoms grew worse; he found it increasingly more difficult to function and was completely incapable of working.
Unable to afford medication, he sought help from the Department of Health. He was referred to Dr. Conrado Dayrit, the author of the first clinical study on the healing effects of coconut oil on HIV-infected patients, which was conducted at the San Lazaro hospital in the Philippines. By this time Tony was diagnosed with full-blown AIDS and had little hope for recovery.
Dr. Dayrit secured a steady supply of coconut oil for Tony’s use, free of charge. He was instructed to apply the oil to his skin two to three times a day and consume six tablespoonfuls daily without fail.
The program worked miracles. Each time Tony went to the hospital for his periodic blood tests, his viral load decreased. Tony said that when he told hospital doctors what he was taking, they could not believe that a simple dietary oil was killing the virus better than all the modern drugs of medical science.
Just nine months after his initial visit with Dr. Dayrit, Tony appeared before the audience at the symposium for all to witness his remarkable recovery. The infections that once racked his body were gone. Even HIV was no longer detectable. What used to be skin sores all over his body were now just fading scars. His life energy had been restored enough for him to give an eloquent testimony of how something as simple and natural as coconut oil could halt this deadly disease.
Evidence for coconut oil’s effect on HIV was first discovered back in the 1980s when researchers learned that medium chain fatty acids—the kind found in coconut oil—possessed powerful antiviral properties capable of destroying the AIDS virus. Since then, numerous anecdotal accounts of HIV patients using coconut and coconut oil to overcome their condition circulated in the AIDS community. Even basketball legend Magic Johnson, who retired from the NBA because he was HIV positive, is reportedly credited with using coconut on his road to recovery.
The first clinical study using coconut on HIV patients was reported by Conrado Dayrit in 1999. In this study HIV-infected individuals were given 3.5 tablespoons of coconut oil daily. No other treatment was used. Six months later 60% of the participants showed noticeable improvement.
This was the first study to demonstrate that coconut oil does have an antiviral effect in vivo and could be used to treat HIV-infected individuals. Dr. Dayrit is now heading a larger study in Africa using coconut oil in the treatment of HIV.
The symposium “Why Coconut Cures” was based on Dr. Bruce Fife’s recently published book Coconut Cures. Philippine president Macapagal-Arroyo recognized Dr. Fife’s relentless advocacy in educating people about the healing properties of coconut.
Coconut Cures is currently available at most health food stores in the US. It is also available directly from the publisher at www.piccadillybooks.com or from www.amazon.com.

I agree coconut oil is excellent for cooking, but used it on my skin and had little effect on a skin condition. I tried it internally and became incontinent with one tablespoon a day.
I still keep it by the gallon for cooking and ingest it in
small amounts intermittently.
Chet,
Did you gradually start taking the oil? Your stomach must get used to it first. Start off small, with about a teaspoon a day. See how you feel. If you feel good, then gradually increase to 2 teaspoons, then to 1 tablespoon. Every time you increase the amount, notice how you feel. If your stomach is upset, back off to a lower dose and try to increase it later. It may be that your tolerance will be on the low side, but the benefits of the oil make it worth it. Keep in mind that it takes time to see results. I’ve had tremendous success using it topically. Tony’s dosage of 6 tablespoons/day is very high, but obviously effective for HIV. It is an amazing story and I am thrilled to be able to share it with others.
Would coconut oil be as effective for Hepatitis C?
I wonder if coconut oil might help my stomach. I am gluten intolerent and dairy allergic and I need to keep my stomach healed, (intestines).
I am thrilled to read about the great response it has had on HIV infected people.
I have found that drinking green drinks or green smoothies each day helped heal a lot of problems in the stomach and intestines. You can read up about it many places online.
Good on him I have been saying this for years on my broadcast as well coconut oil has been the go to healant for HIV and other viral due to its lauric caprylic and caproic properties —this is Good that someone actually came out and voiced this
Congrats

For digestive problems I have found that it is imperative to have a proper balance of intestinal bacteria and that probiotics can be extremely helpful.
I would like to know if this works on Hep C as well
I’ve never used coconut oil but I have used other supplements to combat and defeat my Hep-C and chronic Heb-B…at least I believe I’ve defeated my hepatitis because all my liver functions were normal, other than 1 that was slightly elevated when I was tested recently…I didn’t do a PCR test to check my viral load but I will later…I no longer have symtoms from hepatitis.
I used 2 different supplements in my therapy…MMS, which stands for miricle mineral solution…chlorine dioxide is the active ingredient, it’s cheap and very effective against all pathogens, It’s rough on the system and you must go slow with this product. Jim Humble has a web site with all the info, he’s a good man and I trust his information. Apparently chlorine dioxide goes after anything in the body that has the wrong pH and all pathogens have the wrong pH and will be attacked. When chlorine dioxide breaks down chemically it turns into table salt and will not harm healthy cells.
Another product that I took during my therapy is call Bionaid, it’s a covalent silver solution that you drink….each crystal of covalent silver is capable of killing 1 million pathogens or viruses before it becomes inert. In a single dose of covalent silver there are millions of crystals of silver combined with oxygen, it’s the ever ready bunny killing machine against all single celled organism. it works off an electrical charge that is released into the pathogen, which can never develope an immunity towards covalent silver or other silver products like colloidal or ionic silver.
Google the products I mentioned and then do your research.
Best Regards, Tom
I am sorry to be the one to break the news here, but anecdotes like this demonstrate nothing at all about the effectiveness of any regimen. It doesn’t matter if there are thousands of anecdotes just like this one either. It could be that Tony also prayed to Jeebus every day and that is what made him better. Or he may have developed a natural immunity. Some people do. Or any number of things could have happened that made him well. The fact that his regimen of ingesting coconut oil correlated with his getting better does not in any way demonstrate that his regimen was the cause of his healing. Correlation and causation are completely separate issues to be determined.
Coconut oil is great no doubt about it. Olive oil is too. I consume 150ml over a day, making half of my calories derived from fat and the rest from protein….eggs and meat. I also supplement with 10 grams of vitamin C. A good site to go to is http://www.doctoryourself.com. Also you might want to check out what Dr. Peter Duesberg has to say about HIV.
Bod, you are not breaking any news at all–simply repeating a tired and fairly silly idea. Everyone knows that correlation does not prove causation. But if two unusual things coincide, it’s worth checking out if one caused the other. Someone recovering from HIV without ARVs is highly unusual (if indeed Tony was not taking ARVs–the article is a little obscure there.) If indeed Tony had advanced AIDS and then recovered without ARVs, that would be extraordinary and every sane person would be investigating to find out the cause. Not accepting on faith that coconut oil was the cure–but since these huge quantities of coconut oil are clearly a remarkable feature of Tony’s life, it would be a reasonable place to start.
Saying that it wouldn’t matter if there were thousands of such anecdotes is ridiculous. If thousands of AIDS patients took coconut oil and were cured of AIDS, that would imply causation very strongly, and at the very least warrant a serious scientific study.
I too am skeptical of this story for several reasons. First, few people with HIV advance to AIDS as quickly as Tony seems to have done, and most people respond decently to ARVs. There are lots of questions I would want answered before I believed this story–but I also am not going to reject it out of hand.
For what it’s worth, I’ve had HIV for eight years now. My health has remained good and my immune-system numbers have remained close to those of HIV-negative people. I have used coconut oil off and on for five years now. The period when I used it most was in fact the period when I had the best numbers (high t-cell counts and low viral loads) but no miracles every happened–then again I never consumed it in the quantities in which Tony did.
Also, it’s worth noting that four tablespoons of coconut oil contain about five hundred calories, so if you simply go on eating all the stuff you used to eat plus the coconut oil, you’re going to get fat–I myself gained twenty pounds in two years during the period when I took the most coconut oil. If you are replacing some other fat with coconut oil perhaps that won’t happen, and if the other fat is one of the garbage industrial fats most processed foods contain, then that alone will be a good thing–regardless of whether coconut oil has any strong benefits or not.
