Risky New Vaccine Pushed on Babies

Submitted by on June 1, 2011 – 2:20 pm6 Comments

Just another vaccine to add to the needle queue for young babies. This one that is completely unneccessary, unless you think there should be a vaccine to prevent lighting strikes, because you’re more likely to get struck twice before dying of memingococcal disease.

Plans are set to give Menactra for meningococcal disease which affects 2,500 people a year resulting in approximately 300 deaths. While a few hundred deaths are nothing to ignore, babies are actually more likely to contract a disease called Guillain-Barre as a side effect from the vaccine!

The needle nuts are at it again — and this time, they’re pushing a dangerous vaccine on babies for a disease you shouldn’t worry about in the first place.

The feds have signed off on a plan to give Menactra, a vaccine that’s supposed to prevent invasive meningococcal disease, to babies as young as nine months old.

“The highest rate of meningococcal disease occurs in children under one year of age,” said Dr. Karen Midthun, director of FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research.

Sounds scary, right?

But here’s what she didn’t say: The overall odds of dying of meningococcal disease are so low you’re more likely to be hit by lightning TWICE!

The condition strikes just 2,500 Americans a year, killing 300 — putting the risk of death at literally one in a million.

Now, I’m not heartless — any death at all is tragic. If there was a safe and effective way to save 300 lives out of 300 million people, I’d sign up for it in an instant.

But this ain’t it.

Take a look at this warning right on the front page of the vaccine’s Web site, just past all the usual promises of pain, redness, swelling, headache and fatigue: “There is a potential for an increased chance of getting Guillain-Barré syndrome following vaccination. Vaccination with Menactra vaccine may not protect all individuals.”

Talk about a double whammy — an increased risk of a crippling and potentially deadly nervous system disorder AND the vaccine may not even work!

Health officials claim the Guillain-Barré risk is small… but get this: The World Health Organization says the odds of getting the syndrome following a Menactra vaccination are 1.25 in a million.

In other words, the risk of getting Guillain-Barré syndrome from the vaccine is actually slightly greater than the overall risk of dying of the disease the shot is supposed to (but might not) prevent.

You just can’t make this stuff up!

This isnt suprising, the pharm companies will do anything to increase profits. Wouldnt be suprised to see diseases that are completely made up in the future just so vaccines can be created to profit from. Oh, wait, I forgot, theyve already done that, “Acid reflux disease.”

We need more articles about the truth of vaccines in magazines that target young parents. Parents with a new baby will do anything the doctor says so they need to be better infomed so they can stand up to doctors.

My eldest son was given the Menectra shot during a football physical at KU, after I had signed the religious exemption. They told him your mom sent your vaccine records and you need this. Than they tried to give him a TD booster. He stopped them saying he had a severe reaction and could not move his arm for 2 weeks after a booster in 7th grade. He called me and I put together a detox plan, it was too late he suffered numbness, headaches, swelling, redness and was very tired for a few weeks. He had to go straight to football practice in 100 plus weather after this vaccine injury. The aluminum is very toxic. Autism is caused by thimerosal (mercury) in vaccines to susceptible populations

@Claudia Walker: I totally agree with your comments. As a health professional, I suggest often to clients that they consider firing their medical doctor. Problem with that is that the rest of them close thier doors and refuse to take on any newcomers. While it may make sense to let the disgruntled person know (s)he has a right to fire her/his doctor, it may be the last time (s)he is able to grace the doors of the aforementioned medical god(ess).

Living without access to a medical doctor does have its advantages; you need to know what you’re doing, however.

  • I am having a very difficult time finding a doctor in Las Vegas who doesn’t go into a major defensive mode when I try to explain the side effects of the vaccines that were given to my daughter. One Neurologist went as far as to call me a liar regarding her symptoms. Others immediately claim her symptoms were caused from food allergies. They all claim it is impossible for a vaccine to cause a fluctuating fever and night terrors in my child that gradually disappeared up to 3 months. Needless to say, I trust preventative medicine via food, herbs and supplements which also helped my child during her difficult time recovering from the poison doctors pumped into her body. Now, I am being warned that she will not be accepted into college as long as she does not keep current on whatever the government mandates. We have a real problem with our elected officials who are given nationwide marching orders for anything the corporate lobby wants to regulate. The latest in Nevada is a bill regulating health care advice that is sitting on the governors desk being pushed by licensed Dieticians. I don’t know about the rest of the world, but I don’t need a licensed dietician telling me what is good for my family.

Claudia, I agree completely. I have heard many mothers say their babies got certain vaccines at birth and after. Even though they don’t want their child to be vaccinated, they are made to believe it is a law and the child won’t be able to attend school unless they have all the vaccines their doctor recommends. I was one of those parents. My husband had a reaction to his first DPT and I didn’t want to vaccinate.
I was told the same story years ago. Now that there is a epidemic of Autism, people are beginning to see the light.
We definitely need to reach young parents in every way possible and force the FDA to make vaccines that are safe. Not everyone feels they can take the holistic approach, because of the cost involved.
