SNL Takes A Crack At HPV Vaccine
HPV vaccines have been featured in the news a lot lately, especially stemming from presidential candidate splits over the matter. It was only inevitable that Saturday Night Live would feature a spoof!
Funny, scary, creepy or all of the above?
They did a seemingly fun, upbeat ad featuring a little girl’s doll that can inoculate its young owner with the HPV vaccine. It seemed like something that could be so well marketed to little girls which is what adds to the dark humor as well as the insidiousness of giving little girls the vaccine in the first place.
They even included in the snappy song with the line “…side effects include fever and nausea” (but opted to leave out death as a possible side effect).
Points well made, Saturday Night Live!
Lil’ Poundcake…the only thing you’re gonna get infected with – is fun! Creepy…..

If this isn’t a reason to disconnect the cable and antenna dish I don’t know what is. Parents of children, young and adolescent, stop the insanity, break out the books and radio. Stop letting their minds be poisoned and opinions formed by what the government wants.
Please use the television only for movies and fun tapes which you can enjoy as a family, take control and raise children with the values that you hold dear.
I saw Rick Perry on television giving a speech and talking about illegal aliens and the border war as a part of that speech. He said that the Mexican drug cartels were coming into our country and selling dangerous and deadly drugs to our young people. Excuse me governor, but isn’t that what you tried to do by mandating that young girls in the state of Texas had to submit to the Gardisil vaccine?
Ron….thanks….There is an alternative to crawling into a hole btw. I teach my children that everything they see on TV is for the purpose of trying to sell them (or their parents )something…..Why do I do this instead of ripping the TV’s out of the house? Because, as they get older, I will not be there to shield them from the mass propoganda. They need to know now, to take everything offered to them via TV, the government etc..as an attempt to steer the masses. In other words, teach your children to think for themselves, and you won’t have to keep them in a bubble. But, that’s my choice, and I am sure you will make yours. Free will…And yes, books are great! We read many.
Ron: You can’t see that the SNL skit pokes fun at excessive statist intrusion? Frankly, given liberal SNL, I am pleasantly surprised.
Lucy is correct. We are in the world but not of it. You can warn your children, but you cannot isolate them.
Regardless of in the world, part of it, in it… the human mind and psyche can only withstand so much water torture, so much pressure, so much advertising, so much psychological warfare before it caves or, at the very least, undergoes stress. The TV channels thoughts into your heads whether or not you’re adult or a child. Use at your own risk, but realize that everyone is pushing an agenda, TV, movies or otherwise.
