CA Gov Legalizes Children Consent For Vaccines Without Parent Knowledge!
Yesterday, California Governor Jerry Brown signed bill AB499 into law allowing 12 year old children to give their own consent for vaccinations without any parental knowledge or permission whatsoever. The lack of parental medical knowledge raises the risk for vaccine injuries and precludes proper legal protection.
Obviously, increasing drug sales and starting the ball rolling for the rest of the country takes precedence for Brown who is risking children’s health and lives as the HPV vaccine is linked to death and debilitating disease. As Mike Adams of Natural News aptly pointed out, Brown is giving children power to make risky adult decisions, yet they cannot go see a PG-13 movie unaccompanied, drink, vote, or have relations with adults.
Irony of ironies! Reuters reported that on the same day, Brown banned the use of tanning beds by minors; the same minors who can opt for their own vaccinations! To act heroic for banning under age-18 tanning sessions is ludicrous, as tanning, while somewhat a risk for long term, has shown to increase vitamin D levels and ward off Seasonal Affective Disorder. There is much that children cannot do including a tanning session; but thanks to Brown, they are encouraged to make serious adult, medical decisions and unknowingly sign their own death warrant or risk their health without their parents ever knowing.

Governor Brown Takes Away Parents Rights in New California Vaccine Law
National Vaccine Information Center Calls New CA Vaccine Law A “Violation of Parental Informed Consent Rights and Federal Law”
WASHINGTON–(EON: Enhanced Online News)–The National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) today criticized California Governor Jerry Brown for bowing to pressure from the pharmaceutical and medical trade lobby and signing a controversial bill (AB499) into law that allows 12 year old children to be vaccinated without the knowledge or consent of their parents. The new California law allows minor children as young as 12 years old to be given Gardasil and hepatitis B vaccine, as well as future vaccines for sexually transmitted diseases, without the informed consent of their parents.
“Under federal law, parents are supposed to get vaccine information before their children are vaccinated to help minimize risks and this new California law raises, rather than reduces, vaccine risks for children.”
“The law, which Governor Brown must take personal responsibility for enacting, is a violation of parental rights and federal vaccine safety law,” said NVIC co-founder and president Barbara Loe Fisher. “He has done what a lot of powerful people are doing today in America, which is making it easy for big corporations and trade organizations, including doctors and drug companies protected from vaccine injury lawsuits, to exploit ordinary people to increase influence and profits. This law will put the lives of minor children too young to make medical decisions at risk. California parents, who will not be informed before their minor children are given vaccines, will be the ones left to deal with the consequences legally and financially if their child becomes vaccine injured.”
The National Vaccine Information Center worked with Congress to secure vaccine safety provisions in the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act, including the requirement for doctors and vaccine providers to fully inform parents about vaccine side effects before minor children are vaccinated. The 1986 law, which created a federal vaccine injury compensation program that has awarded more than $2 billion to the vaccine injured, also mandated that doctors and all vaccine providers record and report vaccine adverse effects to the government to help reduce vaccine injuries and deaths.
NVIC Director of Advocacy, Dawn Richardson, who designed NVIC’s online Advocacy Portal (www.NVICAdvocacy.org), worked with families in California to provide Governor Brown and the public with information about why the proposed legislation violated parents’ long held legal right to make medical decisions for their minor children. “Governor Brown’s signing of this legislation signals a negative trend in state public health policy making. Big Pharma has been working behind the scenes in California, Washington and other states to take away parental rights and vaccine exemptions,” said Richardson. “Under federal law, parents are supposed to get vaccine information before their children are vaccinated to help minimize risks and this new California law raises, rather than reduces, vaccine risks for children.”
AB499 is estimated to cost the state of California millions of dollars to implement because Merck currently sells Gardasil vaccine to the government for more than $100 per dose and sells hepatitis B vaccine for $27 per dose. Three doses of each vaccine are given. Future vaccines for sexually transmitted diseases, such as genital herpes, chlamydia, gonorrhea and HIV/AIDS, will likely be more expensive. In addition to vaccine purchase costs, there are additional costs for vaccine delivery and administration.

WHAT WAS HE THINKING?! Did none of his adviser’s discuss with him the liability of injuring a minor! What if they have an egg allergy? What if they have a medical condition that precludes getting vaccinated? This is madness. My children are going to get another lecture from me today about how I feel about the immunizations except now I need to tell them how to keep from being “coerced” into doing something they may feel obliged to do to make the school happy with them. There is a reason teenagers aren’t adults yet. They are not yet capable to make these kind of decisions that may affect their whole life due to brain development immaturity.
I raised my daughter to know that nobody has authority over her but God and her parents. Jerry Brown, like most others in Government has abused his authority. I am not the least bit surprised.
I’m outraged. Does this apply to all vaccinations? Because I heard it was just for one on sexual transmitted disease, so I can see why it would be hard for a minor to get it if their parents disapprove of sex at their age. 12 is extremely young and is a liability but I def would like to know exactly what the bill is talking about. I don’t want to be outraged for the wrong reason.

gglitchez….you will be outraged when you research Gardasil. I wouldn’t be surprised if you begin to question anything Big Pharma puts out after studying this one. That should be the beginning of your outrage because our elected officials are jumping on the gravy train. Jerry Brown just proved to California that he is a controlled individual. The people of Cali really need to step up and take their government back. Jerry Brown just told the people of California that all children are children of the state. How in the world can any parent justify any incremental step toward that type of control? What will follow?

If kids can make this adult level decision to opt-in for a vaccine, then they should also be allowed to opt-out. Not likely the law allows that.
Now Merck can go straight to any district superintendent and end run the parents. Send a slick speaker into the middle school auditorium with a scary power point presentation and every kid will beg for the vaccine at the exit door. Probably Merck will start with s few smaller districts (as focus groups) to determine which speaker and presentation brings in the most bucks.
Wonder if the kids will have to pay for it from lunch money?
Do you know how much money he got for doing this? Thats what is important, his re election fund.
